O cuidador e a tecnologia na conformação do idoso portador de Alzheimer

Resumo

Este texto levanta as dimensões de análise que surgem ao pesquisar a materialidade da idade e do envelhecimento com a doença de Alzheimer (DA) por meio da tecnologia. Cuidadores informais ou familiares que assistem aos idosos portadores dessa demência que envelhecem em suas casas moldam as tecnologias a partir de uma percepção histórica e socialmente construída da DA e do idoso. Implicações sociotécnicas e sociopolíticas para esses idosos são discutidas.
